THE WAY FORWARD

Purpose and direction look different for everyone — there's no single path to finding your own.

Some days that means finding you the right deck chair for a sunrise in the Mediterranean. Other days it's helping you put a feeling into words for the first time, working with you on your leadership journey or untangling a business process that's been quietly driving everyone mad. Same compass, four very different mornings.

I've sat on a lot of different sides of a lot of different desks. For years, the seat I sat in most was asset management — tracking what an organisation owns, what it's worth, what's about to fail, and what it'll cost if nobody notices in time. It's the work I'm known for, and it's become the spine of how Tonim approaches Systems.

But before that, there was a run through accounting, retail, hospitality, shipbuilding, IT, project management, government and as a NLP Master Coach.  Eight different desks, eight different ways of seeing a problem. Each one taught me something the others didn't: how to read a room, how to keep a system from quietly falling apart, how to help someone find their footing when everything's shifting under them. None of it looks related until you notice what it actually trained me for.

It built four things: a travel advisor who's actually worked on cruise ships, a coach who's led teams through real organisational change, a workshop facilitator who believes pen and paper still do what screens can't, and a systems consultant who's untangled more broken processes than she'd care to count.

THE FOUR PILLARS

One compass, four directions

Each pillar has its own mood and its own register, but the same person sits behind all of them.

THE NAME
Tonim is my middle name — Minot — written backwards. Minot is a family name, passed down to the eldest daughter of each generation. I wanted something deeply personal at the heart of this business, something that carried real history. But Minot has always been tricky — the family pronounces it with a silent T, while most people reach for my-not. So I reversed it, and Tonim was born. Easier to say. Still entirely mine.

Wayfinding felt like the only word that could hold all four pillars together.

  • Voyages is about finding your way around the world — the right ship, the right port, the right moment to simply stand still and take it in.
  • Journals is about finding your inner voice and learning to express it, whether that's pen on paper, hands in clay, or somewhere in between.
  • Coaching is about helping others find their way — in their careers, their teams, their next chapter.
  • Systems is about helping businesses find theirs — cutting through the complexity to see the structure underneath.

One name. One thread. Four very different mornings.I went through plenty of names before this one settled. But Tonim Wayfinding feels right — and more importantly, it feels like me.

Not sure where to start?

Neither was I, most days. A quick chat usually sorts it — and there's no wrong door to knock on first.
